How I Live NowHow I Live Now by Meg Rosoff
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This short novel about kids surviving a war in modern England was light and fun but also emotionally gripping. I read it in an afternoon. The narrative voice of the fifteen year-old girl keeps the thing moving, which is great, but sometimes the shortcuts taken with cliches about teenagers and certain family situations is disappointing. I love the portrayal of the family. The ending was not really satisfactory in my opinion, but I enjoyed it and will recommend it to others.
